So what is the drill?

The QUICK FIX provides simple solutions to
day-to-day problems which I believe do have a negative impact of the quality
of life of Tunisians. Since I came back to Tunis three years ago, I have
identified twelve issues for which I believe I have simple and easy to
implement solutions. To date, I have posted some of them and I will continue to publish once a month. My solutions are based
on simple principles of economics:

(1) People try to get the best for themselves out of any situation, (2) When
people do not bear the full consequences of their choices; they tend to
over-supply socially negative behavior, and (3) When people do not get the
full benefit of their effort they tend to under-supply socially positive
behavior, and finally (4) People respond to incentives.

While the expression "quick fix" suggests that the solution alleviates the problem only
for the time being (which is truly the case for any solution as the fundamental
conditions will eventually change in the future), I use that expression for it also
meaning that the proposed solution is effective and has a fast effect.
The details of proposed solutions needs further investigation, however this
requires time and I prefer to share them as is rather than wait until I find
time to write the details (even if I have that all in my head). The
objective is ultimately to feed a public debate on these issues and to
provide options for those seeking solutions. This might help someone, in
position to make true and genuine changes, help the country.
